Mauvoisin Dam is the worlds second largest arch dam, the dam is 250 m (820 ft) high and the eighth highest (520 m) in the world and is multi functional, providing hydro electric energy and acting as a barrier for natural disasters. From the dam , formed lake Mauvoisin and both the grand structure and reservoir are encircled by beautiful mountain ranges, including the Brenery Glacier and Grand Combin, spectacular views can be seen when visiting Mauvoisin Dam
