Countries Where McDonald’s FAILED or Didn’t Even Try!
Whether you like it or hate it, McDonald’s big yellow “M” is something everybody instantly recognize. For some travelers it might be a safe and often cheap meal, for others just the cleanest free public toilet in town. Yet, there still are countries where you won’t find the familiar clown welcoming you into the restaurant.
1. North Korea – this is no surprise for anyone, I assume.
2. Seychelles – you don’t need to have a Big Mac when in a tropical paradise.
3. Syria – being a member of Bush’s Axis of Evil it’s not worthy of a McDonald’s, apparently.
4. Vatican City – the smallest country in the world is full of tourists but they would have to do with a pizza or pasta instead of
a Big Mac.
5. Cambodia – Angkor Wat is a place where a cheeseburger is something you won’t find.
6. Zimbabwe – if you want to overthrow the regime you may use this argument in your favour.
7. Vietnam – obviously, some people never forgive and forget.
8. Nepal – it could have been the highest McDonald’s in the world.

9. Kazakhstan – it bears the title of being the largest country without a McDonald’s in the world.
10. Barbados – there was a restaurant there in 1996 but closed down only after six months due to poor
sales.
